Construction has re-started in the Seaport.  Crews have been called back to work, the cranes and equipment are back on the move.  What this means is that the new developments under construction , while experiencing a 2+ month delay, are being worked on, and the developers are striving to get these buildings and homes built and delivered.  I viewed the construction sites on Seaport Boulevard – The new St Regis at the sight of the old Anthony’s pier 4 and Echelon Seaport at 133-135 Seaport Blvd and I thought it necessary to give a brief update on each.  First , The St Regis Residences – this waterfront property is a stand alone boutique property situated right on Boston Harbor.  Views will be spectacular and the location will be extremely convenient to all the Seaport has to offer.  If there is a downside to this property – it is the fact that the building will not be available for occupancy until 2021. Amenities will include an owners lounge overlooking the harbor, an indoor pool room that will open up in the summer and naturally a state of the art gym and spa – all this with an on site restaurant.   Elkus Manfredi architects have truly created a masterpiece.   Echelon Seaport is now open and has residents moving in daily.  While still under construction, this massive seaside development of over 440 condominium homes has helped transform the Seaport neighborhood.  Breathtaking lobbies , this development touts itself as the new center of Boston and at completion will be home to multiple restaurants, pools – indoors and out, a central courtyard with retail separating the buildings.  Kohn Pedersen Fox are the architects of this beautiful neighborhood and it is easy to see why this development is one of Boston’s hottest destination.
